Today's music industry benefits a small group of artists and labels while the rest struggle. A typical independent recording can cost as much as $3000 per song, yet an artist's opportunity to recoup that investment has nearly disappeared.

Our grants support the recording process while creating economic opportunity by being paid directly to those hired to record, produce, mix, and master on an artist's behalf. This creates multiple touch points of impact along the grant path and directly stimulating the independent music economy.

We don't chase trends. Our grants-based program is focused on finding and supporting dedicated, driven, and diverse applicants - not breaking artists. We believe that music stands before product, and we aim to be a gateway, not a gatekeeper.
